Mahalo to our 2021 All Access and Newsletter Sponsors

President’s Message

Aloha, ASID Hawaii Chapter Members:

Happy President’s Day! I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday weekend. We started this year with a virtual CEU in January and would like to thank Rick Ogle from TERRAMAI for providing such an informative presentation. It was nice to see our members and even some new faces. Our board is continuing to plan new engaging, and fun activities and events for our members in the coming months.

I would like to welcome the Environmental + Interior Design students back to school for their Spring semester. We have some exciting plans for the students starting with some student scholarships and student memberships that we would like to offer. More information will be announced very soon.

We are putting together the committee for our 2021 Design Impacts Lives fundraiser event, and welcome volunteers to help bring exciting ideas and enthusiasm to the mix. This is a great opportunity for you to impact your chapter and the profession. If interested, please contact me at president@hi.asid.org

We have gotten such a great response from our 2021 sponsors, and we look forward to partnering with each of you. We are still accepting sponsors for this year and we hope you consider supporting our chapter. If you would like more information or a copy of our 2021 Sponsorship Menu, please contact administrator@hi.asid.org.

Thank you,

McKenna Makizuru, Allied ASID

Kūono Is a Modern Hawaiian Cabin You Can Rent

This Garage Isn't Just for Parking: How to Turn Your Garage Into the Ultimate Hangout Space
House Beautiful

There's a whole living room, with a 65" TV, in here! Who says a garage is all about cars? Or a laundry room has to be a snore? In House Beautiful's Whole Home concept house in Franktown, Co., we asked Coloradan-based designer Erin Hurley to transform both into rooms worthy of hanging out in. And, well, if you’re lucky enough to own the 2021 Porsche Cayenne Coupe, maybe all you want to do in your garage is stare at it (or simply ensure that the rake hanging on the wall doesn’t fall on it!), but the truth is, regardless of the size of your garage—and yes, this one is huge!—you can still transform it into a space that can be for work, fun, play or simply hanging out.

Become a Chapter Sponsor

ASID Hawaii Chapter strives to work in support of our local interior designers by providing opportunities for continuing education, advocacy for the profession, social events and recognition of Design Excellence through our annual awards gala.
