Matt has been involved in the Design and Construction industries for over 35 years. He owned and operated his family countertop business, starting in 1995 until he sold it in 2017. Since then, Matt was the Senior A&D Manager for Cosentino on the West Coast, then becoming the General Manager for Cosentino Hawai’i in July of 2020.
Matt has served on numerous boards and committees during his career including VP of Utah State HBA, VP of the Salt Lake HBA, National Board Member NAHB, Chair of the Utah Remodelers Council, Chair and Founder of the Design Build Coalition, Board Member NKBA, Committee Chair ASID Rocky Mountain and Committee Member IIDA Intermountain Chapter. He currently sits on the BIA of Hawai’i Government Affairs Committee and the Board of Trustees.
Outside of the Design and Construction Industries, Matt has served as Board President for both The Inn Between (The nation’s first and only Hospice for Homeless) and for Therapy Animals of Utah.
When not rescuing animals, Matt lives with his partner Jenny and her son Landon. Matt’s daughter attends film school in Brooklyn, NY and his son is currently enrolled in college in Chicago.
